Melanie began her long-time career with Prassel on February 6th, 1989. She came to work here as a part time bookkeeper, within 6 weeks was a fulltime contractor salesperson. She went on to become the top salesperson in the company for the next 6 years them became the store manager and purchasing agent. She had years of experience in the construction industry as a co-owner of a construction company where she worked hands on in the field. Her knowledge of the contractors needs came by experience. Her accomplishments also include Dealer of the year award, she served on the board of directors for several years with Mid-South Dealers association and went on to become Vice President then the first Woman President of the association. She currently serves as an officer of the company.
Melanie's view on the reason behind the success of the company is a lot of praying and understanding the needs of the employees as well as the customers and the importance of old school customer service, building long term, trustworthy relationships. where your word is still the contract not a piece of paper and a human being waits on you and answers the phone not a machine.
